Sandra Bianciardi is a French artist, now settled in Dunedin. Her large oil paintings have a European Expressionist feel. Although based on the New Zealand landscape, the soft pastel-tones and treatment of the subject matter give the works an air of ambiguity.

'I did not know even yesterday that I was going to do it. Maybe it's explaining phonetics to others or maybe it's the desk against the wall - that distracts you less.

Since an object which belongs to you is outside as well as inside, well, it might not belong to you.

Like language.

Effort about mental fatigue is OK. There is a point during the day  when the same ideas, taken over and over countless times, only appear as word entanglement, even though the meaning has not vanished: in fact, it is more consistent.

Like painting'.
